It gets straight to the point, clear, easy MOA and adverse effects, etc. Love it. Being a PharmD, I am thrilled to have this to review, and wish I knew of this site (or that one existed!) while I was in pharmacy school! I practiced for just under 4 years, mainly hospital pharmacy, then decided to go back to PA school. LOVE LOVE LOVE my transition, but I'll also always love pharmacy, and having this review makes it manageable to stay on top of my pharmacy knowledge and using it in practice as a PA :) I seriously think this would be helpful for pharmD students preparing for their naplex-i think that highly of this pharmacology review course!! Thank you so much putting this together Andrew Reid!! ~Jenny

I am a first year PA student and purchased this pharmacology review course during my first didactic semester. After my first pharmacology exam which I just squeaked by with a passing grade, I was looking for another resource to both improve my understanding of pharmacology and also boost my next test score. After utilizing the cardiac portion of the review course extensively prior to my exam, I am able to happily announce that I received one of the highest grades in the class on the following pharm exam and greatly boosted my overall course grade! I am so thankful to have purchased this review course! It is worth EVERY penny and I will continue to utilize it throughout the rest of my didactic year and into my clinical year as well! The access to both audio and video lectures is great because you can listen to lectures while driving, at the gym, etc. The course is extremely user friendly and if you have any questions/issues about the review course, Andrew is always quick to respond and help. Thank you Andrew for this WONDERFUL resource!

As PA students, we are often bombarded with "must-have" books/review guides from colleagues & preceptors. Some I've passed up on because they're just not what I was looking for--some had too much info or not enough- but I'm so happy I found this! This is one of the BEST review courses/guides out there. I can assure you, your pharm knowledge will vastly improve after just one video. I came across this after my preceptor recommended it and also recommended listening to the podcasts on the way to rotations. I was a little put-off by the price at first, but he offers a gracious 30-day refund if you are not satisfied. So really, you can't lose. After much debate, I went ahead and purchased it, and it is so worth it!! I was amazed at the simplicity of the explanations and how great it is all presented. I've struggled with pharm since it has always felt like I was simply memorizing medications. But with this guide, I fully understand the mechanisms, the uses of the medications, and common side effects. Funny story: my preceptor one day decided to try to "pimp" me on diabetes and hypertension meds along with their MOA, and I was able to answer all of them. The resident doctor who was in the same office overheard and said "Wow, I don't even remember that much pharm!" Haha-thanks Andrew! I'm incredibly grateful for all the time put into making this course and the PDF study guide, as it has helped me so much already. I will continue to use this throughout rotations and as I prepare for the PANCE!

This course has been a lifesaver. I am in an online family nurse practitioner program, and feel that a lot of the info is self taught. There are no lectures, and we are simply assigned chapters to read in a book. I cannot learn this way, and need visuals. Andrew is very knowledgeable, and his course has taught me a ton! I also like that I can download the videos and send to my dropbox, so that I can watch on the go as well! I highly recommend taking this course if you are a student, or just need a refresher! It is well worth the money, as is his YouTube videos. I also follow his Instagram account as well, which is full of helpful information too! I now understand enough to be confident in my prescribing capabilities!

During my pharmacology course in my PA program we learned so many medications and side effects that IT JUST SEEMED ENDLESS! What did not help during my pharmacology course was that we were not told what is the best medication or what is most commonly used in today's practice. For example we would learn a list of ACE inhibitors, but as a class and even myself, we have always wondered, "Which of these ACE inhibitors should we use?" Andrew does a good job in giving us examples and what is commonly used. Andrew does a great job showing us the mechanisms of actions which really helps understand how the medication work and when to use it. I cannot express how appreciative I am to you Andrew, as you have put this great course together for us! God Bless!

FAQ

  • 1. How quickly can I access the lectures?

The videos are all pre-recorded and are available immediately after purchase. You can go through the material at your own pace and you can pick and choose what you wish to review. You will continue to have access to the video lectures, audio review, written notes, and app for life (including all future updates).

  • 2. How many videos are included?

There are over 8 hours of high yield pharmacology review. There are many students who like to hear the audio only. So, you have the option to download/stream the audio files as well. This way you can listen while you're in the car, running errands, or at the gym. I also include 140 pages of written review. Students really like this because they can use it to follow along and are able to add their own notes.

  • 7. How long will I have access?

You will have access to all the material for life. This includes access to all future course updates.

  • 8. Will this help me even if I'm not a PA?

  • 9. Is this only for students?

Nope! This is beneficial for both students and clinicians who are looking to gain a better understanding of the most commonly used medications.

I was so glad to see the pharmaceutical review go up. I am in my diadactic year of PA school, it is very helpful to watch before reading and a bonus to add to the notes provided. As a whole PA school is not difficult, it is made so by the constricts of time. Medgeeks makes it more maniagble. I am a poor inner city student and count my bucks because I have a family, but this a no brain investment.

It keeps me up to date and is incredibly useful while I am in clinic seeing patients. It is hard to find a course that doesn't just teach to pass a test. Andrew gives information that helps you take care of patients in the real world! Don't know where I would be without Medgeeks Review!
